Mount Saint Joseph Spiritual Life Center
Pray and relax... at Mount Saint Joseph Spiritual Life Center, sponsored by the Sisters of Saint Dorothy. Situated on Narragansett Bay, the Center offers a hospitable environment conducive to pondering, discerning, and responding to God's invitation for a more intimate relationship with Him. In addition to the Main House, which can accommodate day groups of up to 50 people, there is a smaller house, Madonna Hall, available for private retreats. Located on the Bay, the Hall has seven private bedrooms, a kitchen, and a lounge. In addition to the key to the front door, each retreatant is given a key to his/her own room.
Mount Saint Joseph makes a lasting impression on all who visit it. From the overlook atop the Bristol peninsula down the broad sweeping lawns to the edge of Narragansett Bay, the Mount is a natural testament to the powerful, peaceful genius of the Creator. Whether in the small chapel or one of the stately parlors; whether in solitary meditation or communing with others, you will feel God's love reflected all around you.
 Main House The Main House... is perfect for parish groups, senior citizens, sodalities, catechists, college students, and so forth. It is well suited for one-day faculty retreats, confirmation and Catholic school retreats, days of recollection, meetings of parish councils, interdenominational conferences, and other special celebrations.
Madonna Hall... is ideally suited for smaller council meetings, leadership get-aways, and individual days of prayer.
Daily and Weekend Masses... are celebrated at the local parishes in Bristol, RI: Saint Elizabeth's Church; St. Mary's Church; the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Daily and Weekend Masses are also celebrated at the Benedictine community of Portsmouth Abbey, at four miles' distance from Mount Saint Joseph. Summer Rentals: Madonna Hall is available in July and August for weekly (Friday through Friday) reservations. Due to its proximity to Newport and Boston, it is a popular place for friends and families to gather.
